Touch of a Thief on an Editor's Desk
Every writer’s life is one part hard work, two parts luck. Right now, I root for luck. My historical paranormal Touch of a Thief is under consideration at a major publishing house.
It’s the story of the threadbare daughter of an earl who has turned to thievery to keep her family afloat. She possesses a couple special gifts. She can pick any lock devised by man and she cannot be fooled by paste jewels no matter how cunningly designed. When she touches a gemstone, it speaks to her, shrieking atrocities in its past and sending her vivid visions.
The editor is reportedly intrigued. My agent hopes to hear back soon.
It’s what writers eat for breakfast.
