Packing for RT

April Fool's SnowOn Sunday, I’m heading for the Romantic Times Convention in what I hope will be sunny LA! Since this was the view from my terrace this morning, you can see why gray is not my favorite color right now. I’m looking forward to seeing palm trees and flowers and any other spot of color during my week in California.

I’m also looking forward to reconnecting with my writing buddies, meeting readers and generally having a ball at RT. My week starts with the Aspiring Writer’s Track, two days of intensive workshops headed up by NY Times bestseller Bobbi Smith and Judi McCoy. I’ll be presenting several times and offering encouragement to the newbies.

The rest of the week will feature the Faery Ball, the Vampire Ball, the Mr. Romance Contest and a gigantic bookfair on Saturday April 9th from 11am-1pm. It’s at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and is open to the public if you’re the LA area.

What’s that? You can’t make it to California next week? No worries. I’ll be keeping you up to speed on all the craziness here on my blog or Facebook page. I’m even running an RT Experience at Home Contest at Fresh Fiction. The prize is a whole box of “signed by the author” books!

Be sure to drop by here all next week. I’ll also be doing some guest blogging (check my Events page for where and when) and giving away goodies at each of my guest spots. This is the beginning of my hopscotching blog tour to celebrate the release of Touch of a Thief on April 26th. Hope to see you along the cyber-way.

I can’t picture me in it either, Nynke. But I’ll let you know if blondes do have more fun!

Ooh, you’re getting better weather! Great!
I’m looking forward to seeing your picture with a blond wig – I really can’t picture you as a blonde in my mind, so I’ll need the photo!
    Have fun!

Have a great time and travel safe. I’ll cross fingers for some nicer weather in LA while you’re there … after Boston’s winter, you might not recognize the sun, but someone will point it out to you, I’m sure :-)
Will be following eagerly along …

I’m looking forward to some “girl time” with my roomie Bobbi Smith. She and have have shared a room for the last 3 years and it’s always good to have a running buddy at these things.

Sounds like you are going to be uber busy!
Have a great time and don’t forget pictures!

Thanks, Dalila. I need to get my DH to show me how to make the pics I take with my phone show up bigger than that sad little one up there at the top of the post.
