A New Writer's Workshop
Ok, I confess. I was an operatic soprano before I was a writer. This is a pic of me as Rosalinde in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus. Guess you can see why I relate to my corseted heroines! Aside from learning the music, I used some time-honored theatre techniques to create my roles. I decided stagecraft would work for any writer who wants strong characterizations, whether or not they’ve “trod the boards.”
The result is my workshop called PEEK BEHIND THE CURTAIN. I’ve submitted it to a couple conferences so we’ll see if anyone bites. I’ll let you know.
In the meantime, I’m basking the glow of checking another item off the list. How about you? Have you set a goal or met a goal recently? Please share!
